Lepelle Northern Water provides bulk water and sanitation services, supported by scientific, environmental, technical and institutional expertise.
Section 29 of the Water Services Act identifies bulk water and sanitation services to water services institutions as a water board’s primary activity. LNW fulfils this mandate through water treatment, bulk supply and related operational services within its service area.
Section 30 also permits supporting activities where they do not limit or prejudice the primary mandate. These include industrial water supply, management and training support, catchment services, water conservation, wastewater-related services and joint service arrangements.
